Unifying distributed tracing across microservices
Overview
A unified trace experience that joins logs, metrics, traces, and infrastructure data into one timeline — so engineers debug an incident in one place instead of seven.

Problem

Telemetry fragmented by tool, not by incident.

Modern observability tools collect logs, metrics, and traces — but engineers debug incidents. Each tool had its own timeline, its own filters, its own URL. Switching between them dropped context every single time.
Approach

One timeline. Every signal.

We designed a single, scrubbable incident timeline that overlays logs, metric anomalies, traces, and deploys. Engineers can pin signals, share a snapshot URL with teammates, and replay an incident later for post-mortem.
